i haven't updated anything for a really long time.
for those of you who didn't know i went to connecticut for all eastern choir last week. yay. it was.....strange

i had to run up 17 flights of stairs a few times everyday with sherry and angela to get to our room because the elevators would have taken forever. TT_TT

the rehearsals were hours long but the director was really funny and at least we got breaks.

there was a hippie there (from new york). he wore tye dye shirts and rainbow socks and had long curly/frizzy hair. he tied it in pigtails once and posed for pictures. everyone was cheering when he did that. it was kinda scary

we got to eat at city steam and famous dave's. the first retaurant had a limit for how much eat person should but they didn't tell the managers so they ran out of food when half the tables got food. famous dave's was really good though

the hotel room we stayed at was so cold. the heater kept on blowing cold air and even when we turned it off, it kept on starting up every few minutes. it was loud too. i could barely sleep

we saw a perfomance by a jazz choir. they were all very expressive and good at improvising (and dancing) we also went to see the hart school for music, theater, and dance. the ballet perfomance was awkward. people behind me were stiffling laughs. most of the other things were pretty good. they sang make our garden grow. yay. the first half was duet and the second half was the choral arrangement like the one we're singing

one of the songs, the heart within, was composed by our director. it was composed for one of his students who died. she wrote the poem for it when she was in elementary school. it was a pretty song. during the performance mr. sears started crying and everyone else started tearing too. it was so beautiful and sad. *sniff*

over all it was a nice experience (but now i have so much homework to make up)
